I once heard it said, “You can plan a pretty picnic but you can’t predict the weather.” This analogy couldn’t be truer when it comes to these incredible wedding fails. So much tedious planning and hopes for perfection goes into the organization of a wedding; the special day that symbolizes the beginning of what is intended to be the rest of your life with the person you love and have decided to take a major leap with. What happens when a minor, or in the cases of the following weddings, major slip up arises? Hopefully you and your guests can have a sense of humor about it and keep the ball rolling!
However, you may not be able to laugh about your own marital misfortune, and that’s totally reasonable. So laugh at these people’s instead!
1. Falling Groomsman
Maybe he was a little jealous that the bride and groom got to kneel comfortably while he had to stand. Maybe things got a little out of hand the night before. Whatever the reason, this groomsman managed to kick start the worse in for better or worse with a collapse that caused the crumbling of this ceremony. Let’s just hope he and the new couple are close enough to move past it.
2. That’s What Happen When You Try to Steal the Bride’s Shine
A wedding may signify the beginning of a marriage, but a marriage it is not. No matter what traditions play a role in your big day, all eyes are meant to be on the bride. It’s her show and her party. There are even rules about what guests should and shouldn’t wear for the sake of maintaining the bride as a sort of metaphorical main attraction.
Apparently, this pole dancing lady in red missed that memo. Stealing the show didn’t go as planned for her, although she did manage to get quite a bit of attention; literally bringing down the house. It’s likely that all was forgiven after her faux pas, even by the visibly annoyed bride!
3. When The First Dance Gets A Little Too Competitive
Backflips and something that slightly resembles hip-hop dancing may seem like a cool idea for a first dance between a husband and wife, but when this rhythm-less dance battle takes on a life of its own, things get pretty hectic pretty quick. While we assume the bride was able to dust herself off and try again, this is one wedding fail that looks a bit more painful than the rest, and it is probably safe to assume the honeymoon got off to a slow start as a result of the groom’s major misstep.
4. Pants Off Prance Off
You’re supposed to imagine the audience naked when you’re nervous about giving a speech right? Well that’s not what happened with this man, who left little to the imagination after his pants seemingly fled from his body. The best part of this wedding fail is definitely the applause of the encouraging guest, urging him to go on and congratulating him for his effort. How embarrassed can you really be in the company of people like that?
5. The Father Who Couldn’t Give His Daughter Away
While the sentiment of a father giving his daughter away may not sit well with everyone, that particular phrase and tradition couldn’t possibly make anyone as uncomfortable as this bride being dragged down the street by her veil. Did dear old dad close her in on purpose? Probably not, but on a subconscious level, maybe yes. Either way, having this moment captured on film was extremely lucky; at least it is for us!
6. Love Is a Battlefield … So Is the Dance Floor
Checking out wedding fail videos might lead you to believe that no reception is complete without someone being kicked in the face and forced to the ground. Still, nothing could have prepared any of us for this bridal body slam. Nothing can put this in a context that makes much sense, and nothing could be funnier while also managing to give all who witness a healthy dose of secondhand embarrassment.
7. Go Home Mom, You’re Drunk
Everyone likes a fun party girl, but there are certain people you’d expect to be past their table top dancing days. This young (at heart) woman defied all expectations, even her own, with her extremely brief moment in the spotlight and on the furniture. This is a great example of what can happen when open bar celebrations go bad.
8. There’s a Little Something Wrong with This Bumping and Grinding
There’s something about weddings that can make you aware of how overwhelmingly single you are. Even if you aren’t remotely interested in a serious relationship under normal circumstances, these sorts of events somehow manage to bring out of guests a desire to find someone special, and why look any further than the other guests in attendance? This pair of dirty dancers didn’t see any need to, but perhaps they should interpret the spill that they simultaneously took as a sign of something other than the possibility they’ll be falling in love.
9. She Couldn’t Stand the Bridesmaid Dress Any Longer
Because gender equality is a real issue, this list couldn’t have been complete without a falling bridesmaid as well as a falling groomsman. Whose is funnier? Who cares? We can’t say why, but watching others fall is usually a good way to elicit at least a slight giggle or two.
10. Save Something for the Honeymoon!
It’s not as much the falling as the landing that makes this particular wedding fail stand out. If someone were to walk in on this at exactly the right moment, many wrong assumptions could be made about exactly what’s going on here. No matter, they’re a married couple now!
11. How Did This Happen?
Provided with absolutely no context for how or why this man (who may or may not be the groom) ended up stuck in a swing meant for infants and small children, we can only laugh and wonder. One thing is for sure, if he is the groom and the couple is planning on having children in the near future then those little ones are sure to be in for one fun dad! While his new wife and mother to his hypothetical children will be in for more than a couple of headaches. That is unless she’ll be getting in on the fun as well.
12. She Grew Up Never Knowing Why She Hated to Dance…
Since a video was posted online, we have to assume that the small child and her clumsy dance partner were alright after their sudden descent. It’s great that all of the kids in attendance got a chance to showcase their best moves and dance with the bride. Still, it may be a better idea for this portion of the wedding reception to be better left to children old enough to dance on their own two feet.
13. Where Did He Go?
We expect to see a little unskilled dancing at an event like a wedding reception. This should come as a surprise to no one. What does come as a surprise is this young man being able to badly dance his way right out of the bottom of a tent! Even more surprising? This stellar wedding guest rises like the phoenix, coming back to hit the dance floor hard. You sir, are the real MVP.
