Choosing a wedding venue can be daunting, but if you make a checklist for yourself with all the factors you are looking for, it can become quite simple. Here is how to choose a wedding venue.
1) Determine Your Budget
First things first you need to figure out how much to spend on the venue itself. Since it is hard to know the exact number, create a range from lowest to highest. Just by doing that you have gotten rid of venues that are too pricey or not up to your standards.
2) Inside or Outside
Depending on your location and the time of year that your wedding will be taking place you can knock off wedding venues that are not suitable. For example, if it is a summer wedding and you are set on outdoors, you can mark off all of those venues that only offer indoor weddings.
3) Ambience
Some people are just interested in a place that is the right size and the right price while others are in search of a venue that screams ambiance. If this is what you are after, veto the venues that are just too bland for you.
4) Size
You must determine what size wedding you will be having. This can be difficult to do before everyone has responded but based on the list of people you have invited you can figure out what ballpark you are in. Once this is done, get rid of any venue that is too large or too small to host your wedding.
