Your time has finally come and you are getting married. Yet with all the excitement and stress associated with the organization of the big event, there is also the concern over the expense of the wedding. After all, few of us are Donald Trump’s offspring.

Let’s face it, getting married can be expensive; and finances can put strain on a relationship. And there is usually enough going on in the background of planning a wedding that the last thing you need is additional pressures caused by money. Not to dwell on the point too much, but there is an old Hungarian saying that roughly translates to the following: The money goes and the love flies out the window.

So why go overboard for your wedding when with a little forethought and a bit of fancy footwork, you can achieve the wedding of your dreams for a price within your budget.

Love Warms the Heart

The winter months of January through March are usually the best times to get married “on the cheap.” Due to lower demand for weddings during these months, the first law of economics comes to the fore – when demand falls and supply is stable, prices go down.

Wedding venues, caterers, photographers and the like do not close their businesses when the weather turns cooler, although they still have to pay the rent and utilities. Consequently, a good deal is in there for the taking for those willing to get married during those months.

If you choose the month of March, there is a probability that you may even get an early Spring day for weather. Also, if you get married in Miami or Arizona, do you really have to worry about the weather?

Now that you have decided to get married during a “less in demand” month, you can achieve even greater savings by getting married at the last moment.

If you do your homework in advance by buying a dress and knowing which other professionals you want working at your wedding, a wedding can be organized very quickly and at great saving. A reception hall would much rather hire out their venue at a lower cost than see it sitting empty. And if you are ready to do things at the last moment, you can save big time with all the bridal services.

It may be a bit more stressful but if you embark on the adventure with a fun attitude, you will not only save heaps of money, you will also enjoy doing it.
