As a young jewelry maker in Manhattan's Bowery district, Jeff Cooper spent countless hours honing the skills he would need to compete in the industry. He founded his company in 1976 and developed his own line of bridal jewelry. Long before it was popular, Jeff started working with platinum. He found the precious metal to be superior to gold in almost every way. Not only was it rarer and stronger, but it was also less showy than the yellow stuff. Jeff Cooper soon became a household name in the bridal industry.

Known primarily as a designer of fine platinum jewelry, Jeff Cooper has since branched out. Working with his eldest son, David, he has expanded into the previously anemic men's market. Why would someone want to get involved in an anemic market? Because there's a lot of room for growth. At least, that's what Jeff Cooper thought...and he was right!

For years, men had few options when it came to wedding rings. They could either have the plain gold band or the fancy gold band. No one seemed to consider the fact that some guys don't like gold. Many find it showy, ostentatious. More understated metals like platinum were simply not available. Jeff Cooper changed all that. His platinum wedding bands for men were an instant hit.

Contrary to popular belief, marrying men across the nation appreciated having an alternative to gold. They also liked Jeff's clean, elegant and simple designs. All of his jewelry is made entirely by hand, one at a time, which ensures superior quality, especially when it comes to metalwork. Many supposedly professional designers skimp on materials and craftsmanship and try to cover it up with unnecessary design flourishes. But Jeff Cooper rings are simple and clean, so they don't hide anything.

In addition to his extensive bridal and fashion sets, Jeff Cooper offers three unique collections just for the guys: the Eternity Collection, the Luxury Collection and the Edge Collection. Each of the wedding bands in this collection is simple, elegant and modern.

As we mentioned, Jeff Cooper prefers platinum to the other decorative metals. The fact that it is understated, hypoallergenic and that it will not change colors over time make it the perfect precious metal, according to him. Of course, Jeff realizes that not everyone may share his opinion, which is why he offers several other metals. In addition to platinum, white and yellow gold, the designer also offers palladium. A much cheaper option than the precious metals, palladium is hypoallergenic, scratch and tarnish resistant.
