Good things still take time. When Haig Tacorian came to America in 1969, he had no idea his name would one day be engraved on some of the world's finest jewelry. Like most immigrants, he simply wanted to make a better life for his family. But Haig had a special talent; and after settling in California, he plied his trade as a master jeweler. It took him sixteen years of hard work, but Haig Tacorian finally saved up enough money to open his own shop.

With the help of his wife, Gilda, he created original jewelry with a unique and distinctive European flair. It didn't take long before jewelry lovers on the West Coast started to request Tacori by name. The company set itself apart from the pack by offering exquisite platinum and diamond engagement rings at a time when platinum was on the rise.

It's easy to be overwhelmed by sudden success, but Haig Tacorian refused to ignore the lessons of his past. Instead of cutting corners and cashing in on his growing brand name, he decided to keep things the way they were. His commitment to craftsmanship and quality control has never wavered over his long career. And neither has his commitment family.

Just as he had learned the art of jewelry making from his father, Haig Tacorian taught his own children the skills and techniques required to compete in the ancient industry. His son, Paul, and his daughter, Nadine, learned everything they needed to know about jewelry design before they could drive. The keys to the kingdom have since been placed in their capable hands.

But Tacori employs more than just family members. The business, which was once run by Mr. and Mrs. Tacorian alone, now has over 150 full-time workers. Though profits and shipments are up, Tacori has not lost sight of what made them a success in the first place.

Each piece of Tacori jewelry begins with a designer, a pencil and a blank piece of paper, much the same way it did at the start. The company's design philosophy also remains unchanged. They make elegant, sophisticated engagement rings in the European tradition. There are currently five unique collections: Dantela, Crescent, Hand Engraved, Neotare and Simply Tacori. Once the models have been selected, customers can choose from classic, heirloom or modern styles. They are also given a choice of either solitaire or three-stone settings.

Tacori engagement rings contain diamonds with G color and VS clarity. They are available in high-grade platinum and 18k white or yellow gold.
