Jewelry making is one of the oldest and most difficult of the decorative arts. Apprentices spend years learning how to cast, forge, solder, enamel, fabricate and engrave ornamental accessories; and those are just the basics! To become a master jeweler, an artisan must be both a craftsman and an artist. He must possess astonishing technical abilities and rare creative capabilities. Jack Kelege engagement rings exhibit both.

A jeweler for his entire professional life, Jack Kelege has created some of the most unique collections in recent memory. Of course, he does not take all of the credit for himself. Each of the artisans on his team has at least twenty years of experience in the jewelry industry. But it is up to Jack Kelege to evaluate and test each of them. That’s right! To join his team, jewelry makers must pass a series of challenging tests. Few make the grade, but those that do have the privilege of working with a true master.

As a jewelry designer, Jack Kelege is most assuredly hands-on. Not only does he personally take the time to train each of his employees, but he also insists on selecting all of the precious metals and stones that are used in Jack Kelege engagement rings. It is also his responsibility to create each design on his own.

All Jack Kelege engagement rings begin with the designer, a pencil and a sheet of paper. His artisans are then charged with bringing each of his unique designs to life. Jack gives them everything they need to succeed from the best materials to the most modern equipment. Even so, it can take months to complete a single article of jewelry.

Jack Kelege engagement rings are particularly time-consuming. This has a lot to do with Jack’s decidedly old-school approach to jewelry design. In addition to sketching all of his own ring designs, he also takes the time to personally hand-pick each stone. According to the master, the sole purpose of the ring setting is to enhance the beauty of the diamond. An ordinary or inferior stone in a gorgeous setting is still second-rate, which is why all Jack Kelege engagement rings feature diamonds of superior quality.

Because each article of jewelry that leaves his design studio in Southern California is entirely handmade, each is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. They are all individually numbered and certified to ensure quality and authenticity.
