Wedding favors are gifts and a way of saying thank you to each of your guests. They show the same love that is being shown to you by them, and should be picked with care.

The most important aspects of wedding favors are that they show your personalities as a couple, and that they are things that your guests will really want, use, and appreciate getting from you on a day that isn’t exactly all about them.

Let’s look at some great options for winter wedding favors. The best, if you will!

Handmade Soaps

Good and good for you. Without being a vegetable! Go for unisex scents that can be appreciated by all guests. Smells that are clean, fresh, and not too sweet, floral, or musky.

Personal Servings of Cake

This is an especially great option if you’ve opted for something like a sweets station, chocolate fountain, or tiered display of cupcakes as opposed to a traditional cake. Again, look for a crowd pleaser. Hosting a tasting with some of your VIP guests, mom and mom to be, your best friend, etc., will help you to make your choice with confidence.

Essential Oils and a Nice Diffuser

Essential oils are huge these days. You can find them artisan made or from big beauty and wellness brands like L’Occitane, or Origins. Even if your guests aren’t the DIY apothecary types, these oils smell great, and if given with a small diffuser, they can lend that smell to your guests’ living space or offices. Great potential selections include lavender, frankincense, or even something with a citrus scent to brighten up the winter days.

Candles

They aren’t just great for wedding decorations. They’re also phenomenally useful gifts for guests. With plenty of options for how they can be packaged, candles have a two fold appeal as favors. Pretty with a purpose!

Small Potted Herbs or Succulents

Have you heard that having something green in your line of vision is said to boost creativity? Well it is. So, give your wedding guests the gift of creativity with a planted succulent or herb. Of course herbs have separate and extremely relevant uses as well.

Will they make a cup of tea with peppermint sprigs, will they dry basil leaves and think of how amazing your wedding was every time they use them to cook? That’s up to the guest!

Stemless Wine Glasses

Stemless or even shorter traditional wine glasses, monogrammed and neatly packaged, are great souvenirs of your wedding day, and also check all the boxes in the usefulness category. Even if your guests aren’t big drinkers; who can’t use a glass?

Mini Champagne Bottles

Mini wine bottles will get the job done too. Consider mini bottles of kambucha for a health conscious crowd, or mini sparkling cider bottles for kids and non-drinkers who will attend your wedding and following wedding reception.

Sunglasses and Cool Straps

I know what you’re thinking, but if you’re planning your winter wedding in a place with snow, and people expect to spend any amount of time outside, these will come in handy. They’ll also be plenty unexpected, as well as appreciated. The sun glares brightly off of fresh white snow, and winter always means the spring rain and summer sun are right around the corner. Send them off prepared.
